To create these Breakaways, we lace long yellow serpentines with short lengths of gold. Blast them high. As the yellow unrolls midair, the gold splits away, creating bursts of metallic shine. The yellow/gold combination makes this color pair a great choice for both bright and more dimly-lit settings.
Point your guests' attention by combining streamers and a bit of flashy flutter. Get a sleeve of Yellow and Gold Slowfall Confetti and slide it in with your Breakaway Streamers. The streamers' flight path draws eyes away from the launch area, then the lingering confetti pulls them back.
Breakaways are a bit wider than single-layer streamers. Give yourself a few seconds more to load narrow barrels. Cut off the plastic sleeve's end and slide the breakaways into the launcher. You don't have to be precious about it, just tuck them in. Then recycle the plastic and launch your streamers.
For all their spectacular look, Breakaway Streamers are virtually cleanup-free. They are quick to grab up - plus the audience will have already done much of that for you.

The exterior paper is 15 feet of biodegradable deep purple tissue. We drop in strips of bright gold metallic and roll the two together. Launched, the gold breaks away as the purple unfurls. The action is lively and powerful - perfect for a brilliantly-lit sports event or Mardi Gras Krewe.
To control your audience's focus points, create a sleeve of matching Flashy Purple and Gold Slowfall Confetti and toss it on top of your Flashy Streamer Load. The arc of the streamers captures attention first. Then the slow flutter of confetti rectangles pulls gaze back to the starting point.
These double rolls are fatter than single-layer Speedloaders, so loading 1" wide barrels can take a few seconds longer. Snip open the sleeve and tuck the rolls into your barrels - no need to be particularly careful about getting them inside. Recycle the sleeve and launch.
Not only are these grand inflight, Flashy Streamers are easy to scoop up afterwards - and guests tend to do that for you.
